the skies of Tuskegee, Alabama,
when Chief Flight Instructor
Charles Anderson took First
Lady Elanor Roosevelt for a ride
in the training plane. She was so
impressed that she pressured her
husband to consider making the
Tuskegee Airmen a legitimate
part of the U.S. Army Air Corp.
Tuskegee University now has
Aeronautical Engineering as a
Degree ( classes taught at the
Chappie James Engineering Bldg.)
